At Greater Michigan Spine & Neurosurgery, Dr. Spencer and the team offer minimally invasive techniques, laser, and regenerative medicine treatments for back pain, neck pain, sciatica, spinal stenosis, and herniated discs. The team takes a conservative approach to care and turns to surgery as a last resort. If surgery is needed, Dr. Spencer is experienced in minimally invasive procedures and focuses on shorter hospital stays so patients can return to work quicker.

Dr. Spencer is a member of the North American Spine Society and the Society of Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery. He is currently a neurosurgeon at Oaklawn Hospital in Marshall, Michigan.

Michigan Hospital Adds Spine, Neurosurgery Services

Timothy Spencer, DO, of Greater Michigan Spine & Neurosurgery in Battle Creek, joined the hospital to offer minimally invasive procedures, according to a news release. Before he joined, the hospital didn’t have neurosurgery available.

Dr. Spencer specializes in minimally invasive spine care. He founded his practice, Greater Michigan Spine & Neurosurgery, in 2006.

I came across Dr Spenser in a bit of a roundabout way. I live in Lansing, and his office is about 60 miles away, in Battle Creek. I wasn’t able to get an expeditious appointment with a neurosurgeon in Lansing. They were all booked out to 6 or more months. I found Dr Spenser, and he was able to get me in much sooner. It’s a pain to drive from Lansing to Battle Creek for appointments, but it’s worth the trip. Dr Spenser and his staff are very compassionate, caring and conscientious.
